L'Wren Scott Style

It is all very tragic about L'Wren Scott but I wanted to write a quick note about her sense of style.

I actually thought her last collection, for Spring 2014, was very beautiful with the kimono inspired pieces with wisteria embroidery but more then her collections was her own personal style - and not so much what she wore to events but what she wore in real life - things that she posted on her now withdrawn Instagram account that I think showed a really strong sense of personal style.

It could not have been easy being nearly 6' 4" tall but I saw glimpses of a woman who cared deeply about fashion, fashion history and creating fashion stories.

This looks like a sheer frock from the 1930/40s which looks wonderful poolside...

and this is my favorite, taken at Mick Jagger's Mustique house.  I love the silk ribbon in her hair matching the sea blue kimono.

a silk ribbon in her hair matching her dress seems a theme...

on a recent trip to India, she wore a neat silk dress with a thin red belt at the waist:

Her wardrobe was a throwback to a more glamorous time...
