It is always interesting to see a designer look to an archive for an inspiration and see how they reinvent the look. Sometimes it works and sometimes it is a big flop. I actually like what Christopher Kane has done for Versus Spring 2010. It is young, looks fresh and is definitely very Gianni Versace.
