What to Wear with Sea-Salt Hair

For years I went to Sardinia every summer and I still think, despite the crowds and the cruise ships hauling in masses of tourists,  it remains one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Luxe, calme et volupté...

After a day on the Spiaggia Bianca or an afternoon on a boat, and having done nothing but spritzed some Keratase sun protection spray in my hair, somehow I always ended up with the perfect sea-salt hair, no frizz, soft waves... I've tried the sea-salt hair sprays that are suppose to replicate that look but alas they have never worked - at least for me - so we just need to spend all of our summer in Sardinia on a beach for perfect hair - doesn't sound so bad does it : )

So, you have perfect sea-salt hair, you have a soft glow from your day at the beach and now you are ready for something a little glamorous but still easy for the evening.  I love this Leonard dress with its beautiful Japonisme print of silvery moonlit Koi floating on a mediterranean blue, softly crinkled silk.  It is light, effortless but totally gorgeous. And best of all, you can wear it with a silver birkenstock or if your lover protests a flat sandal or a high heel...

Easy Summer Chic: Leonard

Leonard was founded in 1958 by Daniel Tribouillard.  The first slogan for the house of Leonard was "150 grammes of happiness' for the lightness of the dresses and its exuberant prints.  (and don't you love happy clothes.  Things that put you in a good mood just by putting them on!)  Some pieces which may have as many thirty colors, need to to be passed thirty separate times through the printing press.  The results are artisanal with  rich, lush hues.  I have always found Leonard to be a bit more exotic then Emilio Pucci's vintage prints.   Of course, I love them both...

Here are two easy summer tops from Leonard (that won't break your piggy bank ; )

The first is a cotton, dolman sleeved top in shades of black, lime, pinks, blue and red.

Our second Leonard top is a black jersey button down with an absolutely beautiful print (how cool would this look with a pair of black shorts for cocktails?!) :

I Want Leonard Candy!

Candy on the beach, there's nothing better
But I like candy when its wrapped in a sweater
Someday soon I'll make you mine,
Then I'll have candy all the time

I want candy, I want candy...
I Want Candy by Bow Wow Wow

I use to love that song so when I saw this sweet Leonard ensemble covered in candies, I knew, someday soon I would make it mine, then I would have candy all the time!  The top has three quarter length sleeves  that tie at the ends, a skirt and a belt that wraps twice around.  The top will fit a 4/6 but the skirt is a size 4.

Looking Fierce! Snap!!

RARE vintage never tires of an animal print. It is timeless, classic and a bit wild. This 1970s Leonard top would look good with jeans, tight narrow leather pants, a skirt, very boho rock and roll with a short black skirt and tights, really, we could go on and on...

The L Word

Lovely, light, likable and lush: Leonard.

We love Leonard because it is less familiar than Pucci and the prints tend to be softer and more romantic. This dress is amazing! The puffed sleeves are lined in cotton tulle to gently support the shape of the sleeve. The narrowly fitted lower part of the sleeve has tiny sage green and red buttons that have a slightly art deco feel. The waist is elasticized and would look great with a belt as well. Lanvin flats, gladiator sandals, boots and strappy heels would all look perfect with this dress. Size 4.
