Favorite Resort 2014 Shows: Are We There Yet? Valentino

Children really do indeed say "Are we there yet?" on a long road trip in the car and sometimes even on a short one : )  But when I saw the Valentino Resort 2014 collection, I had a are-we-there-yet moment myself!  I am ready to wear these pieces right now and they will go very nicely into the fall too.  But no!  We have to wait until November.  Are we there yet, are we there yet...

I lovely the wide through the leg (legs will rejoice being out of the skinny jean!) and the slightly cropped length.

Favorite Resort 2014 Shows: Lanvin's Lady Love

Alber Elbaz for Lanvin can sometimes get a little too obsessed with the draped dress but for Resort 2014 he presented a wonderful collection of clothes for the working woman.  Chic and cool...

This was definitely one of my favorite looks:

Oh boy!  I love this look too and the handbag.  The collection just looks like the kind of easy pieces, you really want to wear.

Favorite Resort Shows 2014: Giambattista Valli Via Little Edie

I love the Pre Fall and Resort shows - the designers always seem a little more relaxed - maybe it is because these in between times conjure up images of a more relaxing time: holidays in the sun, on a beach or on a mountain.

And as we are not all vintage here at RARE vintage 24/7 - I probably spend as much time thinking about current season clothes as I do vintage clothes... woe is me!

One of my favorite shows so far in the protracted Resort season showing is Giambattista Valli via Little Edie...  and really who is not inspired by the wonderful and wacky world of Little Edie and Grey Gardens?
