Preview: Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations

A sneak peek at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's upcoming exhibition: Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conservations at the Palazzo Reale in Milan.


Andrew Bolton said both Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada used fashion to provoke... to challenge normative values.


Miuccia Prada in her Op Art print coat from Fall 2012 collection with ravishing eighteenth century diamond and peridot earrings.


Elsa's jacket with white rococo volutes appliquéd on tidily tailored black crepe (a model that was also ordered by the Duchess of Windsor for her 1937 wedding trousseau) was paired with Miuccia Prada's playful rococo singerie print from spring 2011.
