Shop the Look: MTV House of Style

Looking at all of those great clips from MTV's House of Style Collection, put me in the mood for a little 1990s from RARE vintage.

The oversized leather jacket

Cindy Crawford wore an oversized, slightly slouchy leather jacket with her tiny black Alaia dress.  I love the return trend for the large scale overcoats that were on the runway for fall 2012 so why not oversize the classic motorcycle jacket too?  Slip on your boyfriend's amazing 1990 Katherine Hamnett leather jacket from the 'Clean Up or Die' collection.  Wide shoulders, narrow waist, heavy zippers, the leather jacket is embellished with incredible studding: skull and cross bones, hearts, spades and on the back: Clean Up or Die.

And the jacket is museum worthy.  It is also in the collection of the V & A in London.  What am I always saying about the pieces at RARE vintage??  Collectible and wearable!
