This 1970s Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche dress is both fragile and luscious. It is in soft shades of pinks that whisper sweetness but the voice that whispers is low and throaty. The hazy print is of a garden ripe with blooms but a strong breeze is blowing uncertainty. It is not a pink that would be chosen by a Paris Hilton but by a Cora, Jessica Lange's character in The Postman Always Rings Twice. The flowing ribbon that ties around the neck is demure but the woman in the dress is cool and beautiful; a heroine to be photographed by Helmut Newton.
