Yves St Tropez is not a label that we have seen before at RARE vintage but it was instant coup de foudre when we saw this midnight blue taffeta dress. It is irresistable in shimmering midnight blue taffeta with a sweet bow around the waist.
The front splits open revealing a short column under the double layered skirt that gets longer in the back. This is a little similar to the short to long silhouette that Olivier Theyskens showed for Nina Ricci only shorter and lusher. It is just the kind of dress that we could imagine the ultimate St Tropez girl, Brigitte Bardot, wearing while walking barefoot on the boardwalk in St Tropez in the early 1960s looking sex kittenish with long blond hair loose and slightly wild.
